Mrs. Page's Grade 1 Class

I wish everyone a happy and restful holiday!  Thank you for the many kind and yummy gifts. My family and I will enjoy them very much. I look forward to seeing you all in January!  Tomorrow (Friday), we will not be having a class party, though we will have some fun activities during the day. We will be having our major class celebration on the 100th day of school, in February. Thanks for your understanding!  Happy holidays!

Tomorrow is pyjama day! Wear your Jammies and bring a stuffed animal if you’d like!

We have been rotating through Math Centres the past couple of days. One of the centres involves designing a robot using 2d shapes. Check out our cool robots below! 

We have just begun our research for our animal projects. Students are working in pairs to learn more about their selected animal. Categories of study include: habitat, life cycle, food, appearance and other facts. What have you learned about your animal?  Comment below! 

Sorry for the delay in posting about our amazing trip!  THANK YOU to our incredible parent volunteers who came on the trip with us. We could not have done it without you. We saw some awe-inspiring creatures: sharks, stingrays, fish, lobsters, an octopus and a sea turtle. What a magical day.
