We continue our study of symmetry. Today we read a book about Rangoli and then tried to make our own symmetrical art. Some students also created symmetrical buildings at activity time.
To improve our reading comprehension, we are working on making connections to a text. So far we have explored text to self and text to text. See some examples below!
If you haven’t received a confirmation of our interview time, please check your email and junk folder. If you aren’t able to see a message from me, please email me for your time, or look at the list posted in our classroom window. Thanks!
Our new Math Unit covers adding and subtracting up to 20. We will practise different basic math problems using counters, number lines and hundreds charts. We will also be applying our knowledge by solving word problems. Students are encouraged to memorize some basic addition and subtraction facts to make this work easier to achieve. Students need to be able to both understand the concepts of adding and subtracting, as well as solve simple equations quickly by using their memory.
